College Days - College Life
Written by P.K.Gautam

It’s been more than two decades of my existence, still trying to figure out my life. When I was in college, I was quite fascinated about the “real world”. And when I got the opportunity to work in the real world, I am not happy. What gone wrong? Are u a member of this esteemed and confused group? If so, to your chagrin, the “real world” is composed of dropping metabolism rates, less social interactions and recouping abilities from a late night, increasing debt, tiny office cubicles and far too many responsibilities! Ok, to my surprise this is not what I indented to be during my college days. It's not that something's happened now but I'm hoping that while I start writing aimlessly, hopefully something will strike me and I can write about that.... No luck as yet …

HR Persons Vs Engineers E-mail

First:

Eleven people were dangling below a helicopter on a rope.  There were ten HR people and one engineer. Since the rope was not strong enough to hold all the eleven, they decided that one of them had to let go to save all the others. They could not decide who should be the volunteer.  Finally the engineer said he would let go of the rope since engineers are used to do everything for the company.  They forsake their family, don’t claim all of their expenses and do a lot of overtime without getting anything in return. When he finished his moving speech all the HR people began to clap…Tongue out

Moral: Never underestimate the powers of the engineer .

Law of the Garbage Truck - Author Unknown

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.
My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.
My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really very friendly.
So I asked, ‘Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!’ This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, ‘The Law of the Garbage Truck.’

Skill without imagination is craftsmanship and gives us many useful objects such as wickerwork picnic baskets. Imagination without skill gives us modern art .

Recently a car company’s ad showed how a small girl is being ignored by all her classmates and friends (Swift DEZIRE to be specific), but when her father buys a new car everybody starts taking notice of her. Should people buy expensive cars, just so they are noticed? Is the self worth of a person depended on the car he or she drives? A person should be noticed, loved and respected for who they are and not for what car they drive. Today the West and America are bankrupt because for the past three decades such a materialistic message has been promoted in their society.
